Chapter 2. When Jake woke up he was in a hospital room, he had no idea how long he had been awake or how he got there. As he was looking around he noticed two men watching him. They looked like police but not quite, one was middle aged and a little fat and the other was closer to Jakes age and in better shape. The older man spoke first, "Hey there son, how are you fellin'?. My name is John Stanton and my partner here is Max Steavens ,were with the Federal Wildlife Service." "We found you in those woods, were hurt pretty bad." That was from the younger ranger. " "Yessir, your pretty lucky to be alive. A couple more hours and you'd be a gonner

Chapter 7 The day it happened was just like any other day ,except for the fact it happened to be Sherry's birthday . So in the evening James and Sophia  were going  to take sherry out for dinner, but Sophia came home from the daycare early, apparently she had eaten some bad meat at lunch and was now feeling very ill. At first James wanted to cancel dinner and stay  home to take care of Sophia ,but she told him to  not worry about her ,she had gone to the doctors and he had said it was just food poisioning ,he had given her some medicine. Still he wanted to stay ,but Sophia told him to go and have fun. "Are you sure Sophie?" James asked " Yes

Chapter 5 The rest of the day was fairly normal, James and his wife went around town doing various errands. At one point they passed the diner ,and when Sophia saw the police tape ,she asked James if  he knew anything about it, because she knew that he liked to stop there for coffee there from time to time.  He  told her he didn't know anything about it, he didn't like lying to his wife but , he didn't want her to worry. Seeing the scene brought his thoughts back to Sherry , where was she, was she ok ? But  also his first thoughts of self preservation, what was she telling the police? He wondered this for a little while ,but than he conclude

Chapter 4 When  James reaches home he see that his wife has left a note on the refrigerator ,saying that she's gone to the store. Good James thinks, he goes upstairs and takes off his bloody clothes , puts them in a black trash bag and throws them away. Next he takes a hot shower, while in the shower he thinks of Sherry again, he smiles as he remembers her beautiful face, and  her  intoxicating body , he 's  kind of amused by the fact that he's so taken by this girl and they've never even spoken. He even fantasizes about making love to her, which completely takes him by surprise ,he hasn't fantasized about another woman for years. After his
